Journal Entry 17: The American Romantic Hero

from what the book said, the values during that time value people in the wild. People with bulging muscles, fighting nature or wierd aliens are probably the hero. However, in the soceity now, values hotness. How how are you? the hotness will make your place in the soceity rise and fall. I mean, you probably could look not so hot but kickass and people loves you. In the century now, those people have lost their edges and are going down hill. They are consider as legends, but not the popular ones that people will think about first. That's take the asian society. They would look guys with a hot face rather than if they actually have talent. The face is everything in their caraer. Take the western society, i know some people think Jessica Alba is good, but for realz, she can't act. Her acting sucks in alot of movies, and people knows it. Does anybody care? no, she's hot, that chick is built from the hilt. She's so dam sexy that i would drool over her. People look at her body and face not her acting skills. If Megan Fox or Jessica Alba was at the time of the romantics, she probably wouldn't be as popular. They don't engage in nature, they don't kill natives or barbarians. They simply act hot, show their sexiness and take the check. Being hot is what matters most in the modern society. Besides being hot, nothing really matters. Well, that is if you are aiming to just succeed in the entertaiment part. If its the real life, someone like Natalie Portman wins, the hotness and the brains. Ok another example, most distinctive feature, the taiwanese celeberties. The boobs are what brings out their fame, after that, they dies out. Whenever a girl shows her D size, E size, or boobies they can become famous. Once they are famous, they started doing posters, concerts, and they seal up their boobies again. Once they sealed it up, they are no longer popular in the industry. Unless they really did have a hit in the cds, but from what i see, laterly no one can mantain fame. They don't have the skills to maintain their popularity.
